TechCamp in Videos

TechCamp Sarajevo -- ready to see it and feel it? Want to bring back memories and find your lovely face in a video from the event? Spare some time, make yourself a coffee and watch the event captured in videos!

Everytime we try to explain everything what TechCamp was about, we find it uneasy. Yes, it was all about technology for civic activism and yes, it was for the Western Balkans (the event itself took place in Sarajevo, BiH). TechCamp format was inspired by the idea of an unconference -- part of the event was participant driven and it was up to our guests to define its agenda. It also was... lots of fun. Want to see it and feel it? Want to bring back memories and find your lovely face in a video from the event? Spare some time, make yourself a coffee and watch TechCamp Sarajevo in videos!

Speed Geeking

TechCamp started with official welcoming speeches followed by... speed geeking. Speed geeking is a participation process used to quickly view a number of presentations within a fixed period of time. Speed geeking gets its name from speed dating, since they both employ similar techniques.

Coffee Breaks

Every once in a while, after the speed geeking and in between the working sessions we (smoked and) drank coffee. This video is all about the most important networking part of every conference when a coffee break isn't just a coffee break.

Trolling

Technology for civic activism is already a broad field with nuanced topics that form a complex curriculum of tools, techniques and competencies. It might get confusing sometimes... Follow Bojana and Dorde that trolled working groups to see through their eyes what we talked about during working sessions.

Party

You know what they say, “work hard, party harder” and so we did. Evening socializing events are as much a part of a two-days gathering as more formalized learning experiences.

Scream & Shout

What if an app could visualize your screams? And what if you could scream not out of frustration or anger but for a cause? Or just to support an idea or show the excitement related to an event (like TechCamp)? See how we tried it.

Summary

Not satisfied yet? Want more than a glimpse? Watch a proper summary of the event including  reflections of the organizers and cool pictures of a city. If your coffee is getting cold you can also try a shorter version of it.
