What social issue was your project trying to solve?
Stock-outs of medications that are guaranteed by the Romanian government for patients with tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, cancer and other diseases.
How is the project solving it?
Medical personnel, patients and their families are able to report stock-outs of medication on our site. We verify the stock-outs and then report them publicly and to the responsible authorities.
What is the current status of your project?
The site is online and functional (but all website content is not complete yet) We just launched officially, on March 27. We have printed promotional materials and are beginning to promote the site now.
Are there any offline components of your project?
Verification of reports may happen offline through calling the hospital where the shortage was reported.
How are you planning to develop the project?
In the short term, we will reach out to county and regional tuberculosis and HIV program managers as well as patient organizations.
Now that the site is working, our next challenge is to get users to make reports.

Any comments about the human resources?
Many people are involved in the project, the medical anthropologist creator, a part-time project coordinator, two student assistants, a volunteer programmer... If we could hire a full-time coordinator, things would be moving along more smoothly.
